Anyone know why the Olympic Games start on 8th August this year? That means it will be the 8th day of the 8th month of the 8th year of this millennium.

For the Chinese 8 is a lucky number, and 888 even more so. So it can hardly be coincidental that the Beijing Olympics start on 08/08/08!

Memory

A friend of mine lost his memory. STM (short term memory) or LTM (long term memory) - can’t remember which. Anyway, he woke up one morning and couldn’t remember where he worked. So he asked his wife to take him to work in the car. And to come and pick him up in the evening because after he got to work he couldn’t remember where he lived. This went on for a while, until he couldn’t remember who his wife was. He ended up killing himself. Would that be STM or LTM? Please keep a map of where you live on you.
